NATURAL HVACR 4 LIFE

Demonstrating sustainable HVAC&R solutions using CO₂ as a natural refrigerant

Traditional heating and cooling systems often rely on refrigerants that contribute heavily to climate change. This makes the HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) sector a significant source of greenhouse gas emissions.

To tackle this, the industry needs cleaner, more energy-efficient solutions that use natural refrigerants.

The NATURAL HVACR 4 LIFE project in Belgium showed the way forward. It developed and tested sustainable HVACR systems that use natural refrigerants with low global warming potential. By installing pilot systems and offering extensive training, the project helped reduce emissions and paved the way for a greener, more climate-friendly industry.
